China is a country that has been producing artistic and beautiful ceramic vases. The most popular is the oriental motive. Usually, Chinese ceramic vase is describing history and culture of Chinese. The most popular is Kanji fonts, which is symbolizing the originality and loveliness of ceramic vase. Actually, the perfection and loveliness from Chinese ceramic vase is developed from skill and assiduity from the Chinese potters. Beside using ceramic or porcelain, the extra material is amount of bricks. Since long time ago, the Chinese potters have been making vase by pottery vessel. Before vase was designed, porcelain and bricks were fired first, so that would give a high quality vase. The firing technique has two methods such us high-fired and low-fired. Those activities determine the vase’s quality. But that’s not the whole processes. The making of ceramic vase wasn’t finish yet. It had to be dried and added the glass plated, then fired again. The finishing of ceramic vase by adding ornaments and paints (pictures). The beautiful and elegant ceramic vase was used to be as decoration in kingdom palace. Commonly, the oriental ceramic vase was the combination of paint and pictures, which were white and blue colors. The history of Chinese ceramic vase is originated from the first vase that made by Chinese people when the reign of Tang Dynasty. The typical of Chinese ceramic vase, alongside the oriental design, is the mark from the producer. The mark has the shape of stamp or a small wire tight at certain side of vase. The mark might be showing the origin of Chinese ceramic vase, which had different styles of making ceramic vase at every place in China. That’s because those vases had been exporting for many countries, especially to Europe. The mark on ceramic vase is also to distinguish the originality. It also shows when the vase made, for example, the mark on the ceramic vase with Kanji fonts describe that the vase made when Kangxi Dynasty reign. In Europe, the first Chinese ceramic vase was known as Fonthill Vase in 1338. This vase was sent by Chinese Kingdom as a gift to France Kingdom. This ceramic vase derived from Jingdezhen, made around 1300. Beside the glass plated, the making of ceramic vase, some used enamel and silver-plated. That’s the popular ceramic vase in Europe. Until now, people like Chinese ceramic vase as their collection, either antique or modern design. But, the antique ceramic vases have higher values. Beside that, it can be some investment by remembering that antiques are long lasting and have high selling price too.
